So the last part is?
I think whatever this part is wants more loving attention and awareness from you. Next time after the shower, sit in a quiet place and have an imaginary conversation with this part of you. Make sure you give it Loving attention.

I've got two words for you....
liquid soap... :)

You have allowed yourself
to be taken over by the mind control hidden in these silly sitcoms. Why else do you think people would become hooked on these things. Now you are under their control, and there is nothing that you can do.

Funny post Quirks
I'm not much of a television viewer, so no t.v. programming runs through my brain, lol.  All I hear on a regular basis is "Blog, blog, blog.."

Quirky...
Don't feel bad.  Lately I have been hearing my cell phone ring when it really isn't.  I know this has nothing to do with bathing, but it is still an annoying thing that happens in my head that I can't control.  Maybe writing this post about it will help?

tweedhead, this may be a little TMI
But I often take a shower where I start with my breasts first, move south, and recline in the tub with the warm water cascading over me and  wind up masturbating with a dildo for.........however long........before I ever even think about shampooing my hair or the rituals of bathing.  This happens a lot.  In fact, I even know different positions in my claw-footed bathtub.  Like I said, TMI......but sometimes there is nothing like a good shower.......

Any man commented yet? Well, I know something and maybe I know why. Well because I have taken bath together with women and I noticed how they do their bathing by reflex. Incidentally, I noticed the same thing with me. Oh common, stop being prudish; we all wash the genitals last. And we all linger about while washing them; we love the sensation of it. The washing is pure ritual; sure the perspiration and the residue expellants may contribute to the feeling of being unclean and being reserved for the last and most intensive pressure.

It's also psychological; we have experienced how children are bathed. We begin with the head, the body, the limbs. The genitals are always the last. Oh why don't you ask Freud. Why did I get myself into this discussion anyway? Mind your own bathing, will you? Here, let me wash you back; but spare me the agony of the last rite.

Perky,
I dunno what to tell you then.  Have you tried Prozac?

Whammie, it doesn't matter if I do the same thing or change it (I have)....I always think of that stupid line no matter what.

Quirky,
I like change, so I try to vary things up (in most things in Life) unless I am in a hurry and just rushing thru things.  If you change up the order then there will never be an always first and always last........

GG, the mind is a strange beast, isn't it??

posted by Julia. on January 9, 2005 at 5:06 PM | link to this | reply

wow. that is odd.
...but it does remind me of my most favorite episode of a TV show that always pops into my head at the strangest times: "MRS. MACKENZIE'S REVENGE" episode of taxi. The line, "I'll roll up your tongue and stick a toothpick through it" was just classic, as was Louie doing a swan dive into Mrs. Mackenzie's king size bed.

Quirks
I always give the soap a good lather and rinse before I put it back in the dish....I'm probably the only one who does that too, so I give it a good lather and rinsing before I use it too.

Wild One, okay...but if I shared your soap it would still creep me out...ya know?? I have ocd, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Quirky-Alone
Of all the lines ever said in Friends this is the worst one to remember. I know because I remember it too. You are not alone! And now having made this comment, anyone will remember this and take not a jot of notice of anything else I write or say......AAAAaaaaarrggggggghhhhh! Quirky how could you do this to me?
