Symphony, yes, gas is
really dangerous, so you were lucky you caught it. Reminds me of the time I left my 3 year old daughter
with a sitter. I come home, he's sitting in front of the TV, daughters asleep in bed. He said all was fine.
I go in the kitchen and something is very wrong. There is this stink and gooy stuff sprayed everywhere, like acid eating into the linoleum and burning holes in the countertop. My daughter had gotten hold of the oven cleaner and played "mommy cleaning". I panicked, Pulled her out of bed thinking she would be blind or disfigured. Thank God she was OK. I felt guilty and wanted to kill the sitter. Sorry for the long comment.

SYMPHONY
Just in case it happens again, you should remember never tyo switch on any lights, because that could also ignite the gas fumes.  Play safe, homeboy.

Symph...
No problem !!  Your kids are always going to find ways to get into trouble. You can't watch them every second of a 24 hour day. Just wait til they start cutting each other's hair LOL.  I find that when they were at their quietest, they were also more likely to be up to no good!

LOL....gypsyredhead33 thank you for reading....somebody actually cares!!!!!

yes..I did open the windows because the smell was so bad....I did not know about the phone though wow...thanks for telling me...I am hoping it will never happen again..the stair gate is in place!!

when things like this happen I always question myself as a mother.....but then when others like yourself..comment and say it happened to you..it makes me feel a little better...I dont have to give myself such a hard time now....so thank you for that...oh and for caring

Symph..
First off, next time open all windows and try to air it out. Never use the phone until it is diluted. Sometimes the phone can cause a spark. Kids are good for pulling this one. Mine did it all the time!
