Go to I WRITE, THEREFORE I AM

- Go to CH-CH-CH-CHANGES. Time to change the blogging world.
loanlady, thanks...that's good advice. I think for me, Blogit is a low-level addiction...so finding a way to break the cycle is important...I hope I don't have to go cold turkey!!

Spitfire, I already know which ones are getting the axe. The others I will keep to post as I see fit. I don't really make resolutions either...I prefer to call them goals...but in both cases, they only work if you do!

I hope this plan works for you. I think many of us find ourselves a little compulsive, and blogging can be such fun and instant feedback so rewarding. Limiting the time blogging I hope will get yourself into gear working on larger projects which seem intimidating at times. Keep to a schedule writing the big stuff, I know a schedule sounds so noncreative but the structure will push you through. A great teacher of mine said it does not have to be perfect, it just has to be done, there are editors and you can edit yourself after it is done. So get the novel or screenplay done missy. We will still be reading.

Quirk, I've pondered deleting some of my blogs, too,
but can never decide which one. I also keep telling myself to lay off Blogit a bit more and get my life stuff done. Doesn't seem to be working. That's why I never make New Year resolutions for myself. Too much pressure. hehe

Horses for courses Quirks, blogging is for the slack time. Unimportant/Not Urgent . Quadrant 4 per Covey Time Matrix. It should never compete with personal improvement, family and close relationships and bread winning.
You may justify blogging by earning more to pay for the gardener, housekeeper or do without TV.

Like you, Quirks, it was a place for me to find camaraderie.
With that in mind, I thought the payoff was nice, as the camaraderie kept me from isolation too. Now I find less of that and more bitchiness. I'm changing too with this, and have actually been posting less, and commenting less (this would not be apparent, but it's the truth).
I got more comments the one day, asking where I "was" when I didn't show up at my "scheduled" time! LOL

I need to delete several of mine
just don't have the luxury of blogging much these days. Though I hate to delete them as they still are being read. In fact one of my post from 6-8 months ago got me a call from a guy that wanted my permission to use what I had posted in a book that he is writing. I will make 3% of what sells and he already has 5000 copies pre-sold.
