SYMPHONY, you reminded me.........
when I was about 20 years-old, I got my tonsils out, and the ER staff which I can remember in my haze, was so worried about their lunch orders, that they had forgotten about me altogether, and if my mother had not been on the other end pissing a bitch, to prompt a phone call to recovery, hell, I might still be there right now!

Yeah everything turned out fine.  Good point about their education - how do we know that they paid any attention?  Useless twats, they are...

oh wow chris2303 ...that must have been awful

everything was fine...right?.....I hope so!....and yes doctors are fucking time wasters..they really are....same thing with my mum years ago  ..doctor said nothing wrong with a lump then it turned out she had breast cancer and had to have it removed.........what gives them more knowlendge than us anyway....stupid college and university how we know they paid attention..

See, you just can't trust the professionals...
I took my son to two different doctors when he was three months old because something was wrong with him.  Both said it was nothing more than an ear infection.  When I took him to casualty, in much the same state of mind as you were, they diagnosed him with meningitis.  The trouble is, these idiots who we have to deal with simply save themselves time by assuming all parents are worrying over nothing.  Which I suppose is fair, considering how much money a doctor earns in a year...like 5 times the amount of normal people.

I do remember reading you in the past, but I didn't remember if I had liked you are not. I can definely say that you have good flow and you present situations in an organized fashion. That's rare. Wtg!

I look forward to reading more. I hope I can find the time. :-P

Being a squeeky wheel is
almost a necessity these days, but it requires a fine tuned balance. Too squeeky and you have people turning off their ears to you. Or if you don't squeak enough then they will ignore you. Aren't kid wonderful adventures?

Anyone can decide on the direction of the story. Right now, it seems there is a love quadrangle with Constance, Mitzi, Franklin & Arthur. Story is at the showdown with Constance, Mitzi, Arthur at the picnic spot. A suspicious character, Manny, is spying on the group. Anything can happen here. I hope you will grace us with your contribution. Thanks for reading and your kind attention in this matter. Have a nice evening.

Ben.

My neighbors' son has ultra-sensitive skin too.

He uses a special soap for that kind of skin,

and avoids certain foods that causes his allergy.

Drop by my Tandem Writing blogs?

Thanks.

Ben.

Your son might be allergic to something he is eating and coming out in a form of a rash. I don't know but its an idea? Can check to find out what he's allergic to. I find anytime a deal with big business or government-its a fight. They got their job now they just sit around waiting for retirement.

Symphony- I get pretty frustrated too with a lot of 'proffesionals'. But
it's true, sometimes you have to get upset (or at least act the part) to get their attention...

My nieces have very bad eczema and she found that limiting their intake of acidic acids (tomato products and certain fruits), the rash would get better. Good luck!

surprisingly, symph,
neither of my kids have it despite our freakishly dry climate. But I do agree with you that being nice can get you lots of things, but not as many as when you really get pissed off! LOL!

Hey there.  I just wanted to tell you you that my son has exema too, and it's made worse by sugar, stress and dairy.  Benadryl works well to stop itching if creams won't/  Also Aveeno oatmeal bath works to soothe.  I don't know if you've tried all these but I just wanted to help poor baby.

posted by ladyofshalott on January 6, 2005 at 10:26 AM | link to this | reply

Yup...
My girls suffer from it, too.  I don't think doctors realize how much they really do suffer from this.  I know they understand that it itches them, but I don't think they know how much everyone in the home suffers when they are hurting.

posted by RachelAnna on January 6, 2005 at 10:25 AM | link to this | reply

Symphony,

My mother always says if you want good advice go to a mother, not a doctor...because a mother will listen and know what's wrong, while a doctor won't listen and still think they know what's wrong.....lol.

My mom always says if you don't get mad....they will walk on you like a carpet. You did good!
