Wiley, The word has German roots.
I'm not exactly sure myself, but Bau means building, and Haut is skin or membrane. It is metaphical in this case as it was the name this guy Sten gave to a commune he was trying to form. He really was a Guru wannnbe. And yes, these events were from my journal written 20 years ago. I'm trying to reconstruct my life to help me understand why I did what I did.

kingmi,thanks for your take on this.
When I wrote these journal entries, in the immediate moment, I didn't really understand what was happening. I was just recording. Now, as I go back to them some 20 years later, I see the events almost as an outsider. I remember different things. It is an interesting exercise for me to figure out my life.

Cynthia, Occasionally we think we have met a real human being.
But on second thought we see that we have merely met someone comfortable with his / her station in life. Not on the move although perhaps on the make. Someone who, nevertheless, knows what is important about life. Casual sex can be like a crutch to some, for whom love is the ultimate answer. Or at least that is the air that they exude. That's what I got out of it. Thanks for writing!
