To be honest...
As I read it now, it is strictly speaking not poetry, but neither is it prose.  Oddly enough these "poems" I try to write are for the most part extemporaneous.  When I wrote the first verse I had no Idea where I was going.  But since I have no idea where the world is going, it works for me.  Art imitates life.  And for that I apologize.

Well there you go.
It was interesting to see where you were headed with this and then to find the comment which deepened the explanation - much of which I gleaned from the poem. Yes there are no easy answers and sadly, as I said the other day, I am no poetry critic,

Ok...

This is a "hard" poem, meant to make one think.  War after all involves two sides and I am not about to say one side or the other is right or wrong and excuse the other from blame.  War has always been with us.  Sadly, it will probably always be with us.  I have been a servieman but I only fired my rifle at a paper target.  I love my country but is is more that a matter of "my country right or wrong."  I refuse to condemn my country without condemning the other side and for that matter organized religion in general.  I told you this was no light hearted piece.  What I would like to see is soldier on both sides lay down thier arms and give thier commanders the collective finger.  Let the diplomates taste blood, maybe then they will work harder.  There, two blogs for the price of one.
