That is a classic with your sister!
We have never been parents and the wife and I struggle a lot with our niece. We are not in a good situation. We surely don't need strangers helping out. I did not appreciate someone sticking their nose in a deal they knew nothing about. I would not do something like that. It was funny after it was over.

Quick thinking...
on your part. What is worse is when a child throws a tantrum trying to get things in a store. My niece tried that once and my sister just looked at her lying on the floor kicking and screaming then in a loud voice said, "hey everybody, that's my daughter on the floor, doesn't she look intelligent and grown up!" The ploy for sympathy was immediately de-fused and I don't think Laura ever tried that again.
