Well, sir, that is indeed a holy pucker of a religion!

archiew -- A church such as you describe exists already
I know this because I am a member and attend regularly, as do others. We meet every Sunday at 12 noon sharp and almost always all of the members of the congregation are present. Most members never miss. We do have a ceremony and proper dress is required. Typically the congregation begins to assemble around 11:30AM in one or more of the smaller rooms in this huge hall we rent for this meeting. There is a minister of sorts though that title is not used and we even invite guests or visitors to join us. At 12 noon sharp every Sunday all attendants proceed to the great hall and the ceremony begins. The minister drops the puck and away we go. What ... you don't believe hockey is a religion?

You speak truth, Pappy . . . .

But, again, some people, not to be mistaken as being me, are "peer-pressured" into attending church for work or neighborhood reasons, and this would give them an out.

There already is one of those, archiew

It's called the community where they live.  People will listen to the most annoying ads on TV and radio without complaining; why do they get so upset with the religious drivel?  Methinks they do protest too much.

Hey.  Not a bad idea, archiew.
