Thank you Passionflower.
It sometimes feels like I can't say what I mean, but I'm glad you feel like I did a good job here.  I am glad for Jimmy, he's been so wonderful to me.  And yes, Jaime is a bonus and a very cool kid.  Happiness is a funny animal indeed, and things often do surprise us.  Best wishes to you and Seven.

Jimmy....since this was a while ago....I wonder...
....if you are still amazed at my ability to face the hard things.  You've been seeing the real deal lately, not the shiny bright candy coating...not the pulled together post.  Lately I'm just swinging a tennis racket with the wrong grip size at balls being lobbed at my head by a schizo ball machine....in the rain...in high heels...without my contacts....after drinking too many shots of patron....you get the picture.  Yes, there still is joy....sometimes even I can't see it.  Not as much as I'd like.

Darling little sis....

Wow back atcha Rach....

I'm not sure there is a better compliment than for someone to tell me that I put their feelings and emotions into persepective.  This is why we write, to capture something, to touch people.  In different ways, but it's really the essense of it all.  I'm moved by that.  Thank you for telling me.

Things look up, then something comes along and knocks me for a loop...which is where I've been for a while...looping.  It's just life's cycle, I suppose.  How we learn, how we grow.  I absolutely love the analogy with the seaweed and the sand, it's brilliant and perfect.  On point exactly.  It's all about accepting what we don't know, accepting the loops, accepting the shut-the-fuck-up days, yeah? :)

You've got a few lessons to teach me, I'm willing to bet.  Thanks for reading, sweetheart.

The one thing had nothing to do with the other...
your opinion was indeed the only one that mattered about that poem...I'm sorry I submitted that for critique, and really did not mean to offend you in any way by doing so, I'm a moron sometimes...

You're wrong. You articulate amazingly well. This was a pure joy to read. I'm so glad you and Jimmy found each other. And Jaime is just a great added-in bonus, isn't he? Great kid! Happiness ain't easy. We make it ourselves. And usually not with the people we thought we should. But we still make it. Best New Year wishes to you. MY kitty is named "Seven" after Seven of Nine on Star Trek.

Just read that again and again I am left speechless by your ability...
to face the hard things, and yet somehow remain able to feel the joy with the sorrow. Yes my sweet, let go that baloon...and don't trip on CB, you are far more effective in rooting out any unwanted behaviors in yourself than anyone else could ever be. I'm with you...

Wow...

You have a way of putting my life, my feeling, and emotions into words that I could have never found myself.  I know all too well the pain of having family members that do not want you, except maybe on their own twisted terms.

I hope that things begin to look up, out, and beyond all of this stuff and you can focus on the beautiful and positives in your life.  Someone told me once it's OK to let the past be the past and move into the future.  I guess it's all a matter of climbing out of all that damn tangled seaweed and brushing yourself off--the hard part is waiting to dry off and get the sand and dried crap off your skin.  Maybe you'll actually never be rid of it.  Maybe the past can never really be left in the past?  Maybe we'll forever be uncovering small grains of the past on ourselves.  I don't know?

Concentrate on the good and how you can change things this coming year.  You've got a lot of good going on, make it work for you.  And, I'll take the lessons from you, big sis!

Temple, thank you for your words, sentences, ideas, musings and perfectly glorious writing. I sincerely hope that from now on, all your wrappings will contain happy, joyous and maybe amusing things, with no more razors. Have a truly Happy New Year!
