A Well-Rounded Christianity
I particularly like the distinction you make between the letters of Paul focusing on evangelism to the Pagans (which are often used in Sunday sermons) in contrast to the Gospels and the words of Christ, which were addressed largely to the religious, who believed they were already "justified" or "saved" in the eyes of God. I think the distinction is an important one. Both messages are needed in order to have a fully geometric picture of the challenges that are facing us as Christians. Significantly, we are only getting a focus on the one and not the other.
I think that "sin" is turning away from God, in the many ways that this is done -- both in our thoughts and our behavior, and in our actions and our failure to take action. I think it goes beyond a list of "thou shalts" and "thou shalt nots" -- but moves in the direction of where we are positioned in relation to agape, as Pauls letter to the 1 Corinthians 13th chapter points out.
