I did witness some emotionality on football nights, especially if Costa Rica won. But the family with which I stayed was very calm and I didn't witness so much as an argument. The children were very well-behaved.

I understand what you're saying. At least your short Costa Rica experience let you see and hear plenty of expressivenes, right?
