- Go to CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS FOR OUR CONDO ...STILL HERE
We give thanks for the "Gift" of Grief
Dear One,
As a priest, I have some experience in helping others (and myself) live through, and grow in love, harmony, and beauty, from the reality of grief in our journey home.
One thing I can say right away is likely not news to you: your brother is beyond grief, himself. He has graduated from this life of sorrow. Having moved on, his love and beauty only grows moment by precious moment!
Here, in briefest form is a helpful key in accepting and then rising above grief to the realm of unconquerable peace and joy. The key is this: Talk with your brother every chance you get in the next few weeks. Express your love; express your sorrow; express the incredible pain of this sudden and seemingly unfair loss from your life. Even though its fierceness may threaten to rip your loving heart in two, surrender to any crumb of Faith you thatposses in Life Eternal, thereby assuring yourself that the travail you must walk through will seem as nothing in the light of your eternal union with all that is good and perfect and whole including, most epecially, your brother's purified being. Just as darkness cannot overcome light, so fear of separation cannot overcome the Truth of our Divine Unity.
Sorry for going on... I will say more about the healing of grief in my blog titled:

melody,
thank goodness you look at situations in the light...most people would give up but not you...you always try to make the best of a difficult situation...like putting up decorations and finding comfort in the things you love. You will be home soon...you're already half way there.
