I once got two of those
"Yahoo" confirmation emails, but I thought "cmon, I've been using Yahoo for two years now." I looked at the email header and found a yahoo address but not "support@yahoo.com" so I deleted it.

These days, it's amazing if email is for real
I just got an email informing me that I needed to provide info so an office supply vendor could ship printer cartridges I'd ordered. When I phoned them, it turned out I had actually signed up for an ink cartridge club where they give you free shipping if you let them automaticlly place orders for you. Once they reminded me, I remembered signing up.

A very good heads up reminder
my friends husband had his identity stolen off the net a week ago and they ran up thousands on his credit card in no time flat.

Also be aware if you get the same type email from other
places like Ebay.  Don't ever answer to an email asking you to confirm ANYTHING!!!You can always call teh company ,if you do do business with them ,to be sure.
