I so agree...

I have a friend who works for Wal-Mart.  She will be getting a bonus of about $1000.00.  Her manager will be getting $25,000!!  What's up with that?

Why does he warrant such a high bonus.  Even if they decreased his bonus to $10,000 and spread the rest around, that would still be a significant amount.  That way everyone could "share in the joy".

Sassy, It's Not That I Object to the Gifts...

It's just that so much is being given to people who already HAVE so much. My bosses do not need $50 HD or Chili's cards...but I know some of our secretarial staff who would be overjoyed with them. My bosses don't need holiday hams and turkeys ... but some of our maintenance staff would be thrilled.

I guess what I was trying to say was that instead of sending this stuff to the big bosses, send it to the little guy who supports the big guys. The receptionists and assistants and on-site managers and maintenance blokes. It'll do more good and be more appreciated.

Its not about the money
Its the thought. Christmas time brings out the best in everyone. If only we could be this good willed throughout the rest of the year. My hubby's company also does these things. It brings up employee morale. Each of the 400 employee's received a $300.00 gift card to a popular store. Its just there way of saying thanks for keeping our company strong, because without these people there would be no company.
