Katray, this relationship
has given more pleasure than I'd ever imagined.

What a lovely post and tribute to mother/daughter relationships. You seem to have a good understanding of her. How wonderful you are only a phone call away when she needs a listening, caring ear.

Ca88andra, What you said, I feel
or want to believe is true. In my case, my mother is the very last person on earth I'd ever call when I'm in need.

Cynthia the best compliment you can have from your children is communication and their seeking of advice from you. By the sounds, you are an excellent mother and will help your daughter work through whatever it is she needs to.

Gypsyred, there were many
things I did that would lead people to say I was an awful mother, but I never tried to hide anything from my daughter, so we feel we really know each other. It worked out.

First time I've read you, Cynthia. Great writing and a superb post.
No matter how accomplished anyone is, they all have their moments of loss of confidence. Your daughter apparently is very accomplished, so with this type of drive, it is possible she is even harder on herself than others would be.

cynthia..
Your daughter sounds very accomplished and someone to be proud of. It's nice that she comes to you and still looks to you for guidance. It speaks highly of your mothering.Other's could learn much from you.

Beachbelle, she is a worrier,
and she's always trying to cover ALL the bases. I can't tell her to slow down as i have some of those same tendencies myself.

It is absolutely the best thing that she puts you in the picture. Maybe with all that going on it is no surprise that she is worried about everything.
