Beach,
Good posts would get read more if we had a fair ranking system based on quality of the post and not just a click.

QuirkyAlone
I know I see good posts go unremarked on upon every day so I do my best to comment if I can.
I do comment on and read Roofy. Yes he will do it.

beachbelle, get where?
to be a published author? I'm sure he will. It just gets my goat when such a good post could receive only one comment.

The regular bloggers' postings get read more often.

The ad hoc ones do not even answer their comments

or leave without even a farewell.

QuirkyAlone!
Such is life - great articles, magazines, books, poems, people, friends get overlooked by others all the time. It is fantastic that you have taken the time to point out a great piece of writing, hopefully some people will bookmark the author to get back to him again. The same as in life, people need to look, be aware and sometimes accept pure dumb luck to find a rare gem!

scoop,
All of what you're saying is true. Yet on any given day, there are so many variables as to who reads what. All I'm saying is that good posts get overlooked on a reguar basis.

Thanks for that link Quirky.

I have tried different ideas on posting
I have tried certain times of the day, when I see certain bloggers reading and commenting, but I still think the way to stay popular and climb in the rankings is by commenting, interacting with others in a chatroom style, and to be read constantly you have to post reguraly and you need good headlines to draw interest. If I post something crazy about a nude man smoking pot in a phone booth it will get read more then if I do a serious piece on news and politics. But I really don't care I am here to write and write on anything and if it flies good and if not oh well I will write again tomorrow.
