Lady Kenobi, you made me giggle, especially about parents and

business ideas. Mine enrolled me at a tender age in typing and shorthand classes, future secretary material. God helped me to ditch the classes and choose another future, one less lucrative, but more soul filling.

When Dad found that I was definitely going to be an  artist, he would always leave lots of art supplies on my front porch, things that he had found around town at thrift stores and yard sales, cow skulls, ram skulls ( I used to paint them), someone's old oil paints and acrylic paints, art books, canvases, etc. It was a sweet surrender on his part. Mom does this for me today, canvases for Christmas and art books.

The baked goods were beyond heavenly. I had been losing weight consistently for the last two years, but felt a small reversal going on at in the Parish Hall !!!! The barbers' butts must be expanding by now, too.  I have one peppermint chocolate pan cake left to take there, but haven't figured out how to take off the $3 price tag before delivery!!! Maybe I'll glue an open Christmas card over it!

ca88andra, it takes absolutely DAYS to do it and I shall work on it all
year next year, keeping a box of cards on my writing desk and filling them out all year long. I like to do it and want to do it, but, but, but.............

SKY5, some years I just gather house treasures, wrap them and give them
away. No tree or decorations this year, but I have felt their absence and have resolved to not let this happen next year. I like a warm and colorful and light filled night during the holidays and shall work for it next year. Happy holidays to you and yours.

beachbelle, it's time to start some new traditions in a new land, no?
I'm sure that you will do everything as well as it can be done in the time afforded and it will be good, because your heart is in everything that you do.

maj, I try to remember those criteria........and I'm happy to have you
notice that my goal is compassionate writing, informative sometimes, but always as warm and fuzzy as a note from your loving grandmother..........who loves you, maj.

Passionflower, funny isn't it? We have 364 days to prepare and we don't.
May you accomplish everything on your list.....

Temple, you'd think that things would ease up sometime each year, but
they never really seem to do that for some of us. You are always in my thoughts and prayers and life.

Wiley, your comments are Christmas cards to me.

Yep, we Catholics know our baked goods, Benzi
I love hearing about your projects. It helps me live vicariously as a free spirit.

I did a craft show once, long ago, when my parents set me up in a craft-making hobby. I really enjoyed it, but, alas, I am incompetent, and after a few years the enterprise was dropped to make way for more practical things, such as becoming an astronaut.

Benzinha dear
I am trying to do the best I can this Christmas but as always I will forget some things.

I feel like I have no routine but that's what turning one's life upside down will do

B, your posts are Christmas cards the year 'round to all who read them.

Here's a criterion as to your time:

1. Did you do your best?

2. Did you unnnecessarily hurt anyone?

Them's the bicuits. Everything after that is gravy.

Hmmmm....time management...I never get that one....
Billions of things still all bonking me on the head.  I was sick, now my computer is.  I've been spending days backing things up and will finally take it to hospital tomorrow.  One day I will catch up here....and on things...I hope, maybe.  Ah, hell, maybe I won't and that's okay, too.  Love to you, sweet Abuelita.  I send you sweet, colorful desert Christmas wishes.
