kingmi, one way or another, I will escape the cold!
I was trying to figure out why my hand has a cut. It is right on the crease of my thumb, and it is from my hand being frozen and the skin cracking while I gripped my gun. Oh, no, this cannot continue!
Thanks for the "warm" wishes!

kingmi, you sound as if you are an excellent teacher!
I think I have may have been called to teach, too, but the school of which I am licensed to teach is one of survival and how to overcome wicked temptations and manipulators, how not to be a victim and how to have the strength to stand on your own two feet and how to nurture self-worth.
I admire what you do!

An excellent explanation and an excellent idea. Mind if I borrow it to help my children with their fractions? I will give you all the credit when their marks begin to improve?
Fractions can be one of the hardest things for kids to 'get'. Thanks!

suominona, gladly. (x2,3,4,5...9) is the magic key. They memorize it
and write it at the top of their page of farctions. The they can use it to make equivalent fractions. That empowers them to find common denominator. When they have this mastered, they are empowered to add and subtract fractions and/or mixed numbers. The process is reversed when reducing fractions to lowest terms, multiplying or dividing fractions. they write /division sign/2,3,4,5...9) and start with the lowest number dividing both top and bottom number, first by two, then three, etc. I always ask, "why do we not begin the magic key with 1? Because one into or times any number does not change that numbers value." That was a long explanation, but it covered a lot of ground.

Can you explain to me exactly how your idea works? Anyway of helping children to finally 'click' and grasp what you are trying to teach them must be an invaluable teaching tool. Thank goodness there are innovators like you in the world!
