You're reward will come
when your daughter's children tell her the same thing. I remember a few years back ....I took my kids to a caraval. There was a booth where you could have your photo's taken ....dressed up as people from the 19 20's or 30's. It sounded like fun. When the fellow handed me mine ....I got upset and asked him where did he get a photo of my grandmother? Now that's errie to be handed a photo of yourself and see a carbon copy of a parent or grandparent. Also I have a photo of my mother( taken when she passed her nursing classes) people walk in and invarabely say ..." Oh I didn't know that you was a nurse?" I'm not she was.

Ell and I are enjoying ourselves now as we watch our grand-daughters do their mother what she did to us. Sweet revenge.

My parents were cooler than me too. Funny how we don't appreciate it
when we're younger. Great post, Symph!

Thats funny, I love to sing loud in the car. My Mom still has the opera trained voice, -- talent skipped right over my head onto my children-- my voice is sooo awful but I still like to sing. The kids laugh when I break out the stops

I think what your mom did was great! It sounds like the kind of thing I would do. You should totally give in to your urges to go crazy sometimes.

Oh yes, my mom is the type of person that goes up to people sometimes and starts chatting with them for no reason, it used to really embarass me.... nowadays i find myself doing the same thing....
Im quite an enigma actually.... I have my fathers horrible temper and I have my mothers intelligence, so combine the 2 and you get a personality in me that clashes with the 2 people who make up my parents. so if they dont get along, how can their 2 personalities work with me when i have them hahaha

lol.....I agree gypsyredhead33
my children do wonderful things to embarass me...the best yet was when we were out shopping and my daughter picked up a box of condoms up from the shelf and yelled out to me "mum what are these?" a man was standing right next to me and laughed...I so wanted the floor to swallow me up.....hehehe

The only thing I've inherited from my mother is her temper, which is held in check by the patience I inherited from my father. :-) That's what I get for being Irish!
