Thank you, SpitFire,
for the kind words. I think it's going to be a little harder to catch them than I thought. It also looks like the neighborhood is opening its heart a little. I know of two people who leave their garage doors up so the cats can stay a bit warmer there, and the cats are not crying for food anymore, so perhaps others are feeding them. I still do, and I'm still going to try to get them to the vet, etc. I know what you mean about the many cats. There have been some very sad cases of that syndrome around the state recently. I wish the vets here were more willing to help financially with spay/neuter programs. Perhaps people wouldn't have so many breeding then. Have a great weekend.

WitchF, I'm sorry that you are unable to keep this pair of buddies,
but at the same time, I'm happy to hear that you're intelligent enough to know when enough is enough within your own household! Man, I have a few clients that have like, 50+ cats!! I couldn't imagine that! Hopefully, you'll be able to find good homes for them. Blessings to you for caring.

Interesting idea, Matos,
You may borrow it if you like, for a screenplay. I saw the Siamese cat today, seemed a bit healthier looking, and preferred sitting in the sun across the street to eating over here, so that is a good sign, healthwise. If I can't find someone or a no-kill shelter, I'm thinking of telling their story to the newspaper to see if that generates some interest. It's so hard, though, to find people who will seriously give cats a "forever" home. There is a Siamese rescue agency with bases in Texas, Kansas, and Virginia that might help. Thanks for reading.

We have two cats of our own, Alex and Taz. They are very territorial and would only accept another cat if it was a kitten. I think it's a psychological thing where intimidation plays a major role. My wife does go a bit crazy wanting to adopt more cats but I convinced her that a small apartment is no place for too many cats. I hope your strays do find a home. You know, I bet the story of the two strays would make a fun cartoon. Maybe you could write a screen play for it. Pixar might be interested.
Ciao for now

Klara, Wiley, and Wolf-Girl,
Thank you for the kind words and for reading. I didn't really think anyone from Blogit would be able to take the kitties, we're all too far apart, but anything is worth a shot. I'm still feeding them, and they are still hanging around, so hopefully we can do something this weekend. It wouldn't be such an issue if there weren't such virulent cat diseases. Our cats are due for shots next month, so can't risk exposing them to something at this point, and our house isn't large enough to separate them. Thank you again, kind hearts.

I just took in two myself, Witch, because of the "fill" in the shelter.
They do sound adorable though.

Applause to your mother
at least, I hope so, or are you saying it's just too many? If there were not a city ordinance, I would probably have too many, too. I can't think of them as just cats; each one has a unique personality, just like people, and they all deserve a decent life. Thank you for the kind words. Your work is a pleasure to read, too. I hope to see a lot of it.

CATS!
My mother has 13 cats that live in her house. They can overrun if you if aren't careful. I admire you for having the compassion to try and help animals and you're writing style is wonderfully clear; a pleasure to read.

Thank you, loanlady,
It's turning colder here, so I'm hoping we can get them to the vet this weekend, then start working on finding new homes. You do have a houseful. Sounds like fun. I've enjoyed reading about Soup, and all the rest of your posts. Thanks for being here.
