Yes, we have limits on cats and dogs.

I don't think we can have a pig either.     I don't know of any cat ladies in this town, but several have been discovered recently around the state.   One of the saddest was somewhere up north, where over 400 cats (dead and alive) were found in the home of an 85-year-old woman.  They all had to be euthanized because of being so ill.  My daughter has a couple of cats that were rescued from a house with over 150 cats in another area of the state.  Since they were all part Siamese, the elderly couple hoped to "make some money" from raising the cats.  These were better cared for, but apparently the house was awful.  It's a syndrome, I've been told.

I don't understand the limit of 3 cats or 3 dogs, especially cats, when they are indoors.  Cats and dogs are not allowed to run free here.  Most strays are captured and taken to the humane society.  There are always a few cats, and a former neighbor used to feed feral cats.  They all had or carried feline leukemia, and she lost a couple of her own cats because of it.  I can't remember the last time I saw a stray dog around here, which is a good thing.

You have limits to how many cats you can have?
Wow! Tell that to the cat lady in our town. We speculate that she has roughly 30 or so.
