Fascinating post hoss, and I can relate to what you say, even if for a past of a different environment.

As the baby in a family of eight children, I don't believe I had a right to "know" anything on my own, and even to this day, my mental security  depends on distance from my siblings.

And now since my  wife died, I cook for myself and have fed people here, and they too always seem to ask for seconds.
