When I was a kid...
...I wore mostly casual clothes, because they were comfortable--this being so even when it came to dresses.
However, I did wear tights and crinoline slips under my dresses occasionally--with a regular slip between the crinoline slip and my body, because crinoline alone could prove to be very itchy!

I love long dresses,
but because I'm so short I have to watch out to avoid the "drowning" look. My kids have ruined so many clothes! Then they look at me like I'm some kind of nut when I freak out about it. The kids think I'm neurotic. Oh well.
