GeorgiaMel, Blogit is a writing community, a real community, which means that everyone has to pull their weight. Everybody wants attention, so you have to give in order to get.

Also, I don't know about everybody else, but every time I visit a Mature Audience blog, I have to go through that pain-in-the-ass acceptance page. So being a Mature Audiences blog is a double whammy.

I face the same problem, so what I'm doing to get around this problem is publishing my novelette in the mainstream categories. I have only a single entry that is inappropriate for the mainstream so when I get to that page, I'll provide a link (with an appropriate warning) to that page on my Web site. This may be extremely difficult for you, but I encourage you to find your own creative way to get what you want.

Based on the fact that you are already ranked pretty high out of tens of thousands of blogs on the Blogit site, it would appear that people are reading your blogs.

However, please note that a blog is the equivalent of having an online column. A columnist does not have multiple columns unless they relate to very different subjects such as having one on politics and another one on technology.

If you're posting chapters of the same novel then you may want to consider posting them all under one uber-blog. Think of this one blog as your book...and each entry could be one part of each chapter rather than even a whole chapter.

That way you'll have readers coming back for more...and they'll know how to find that blog. If you create a new blog each time you post a chapter then your readers who've saved your first blog under their list of favorite blogs will never know that you've posted additional chapters.

Also, make sure you become an active part of this reading/writing community, commenting on those who're writing similar material so that they in turn check out your work.

Hope that helps!

Brian
