I think you have style. That may seem simplistic, but it's not. Form can be learned, grammar checked, but style is inherent (for the lucky).

I almost skipped past this one...
I was introduced to poetry that rhymed and never was shown other types of poetry. I don't particularly lean towards the rhyme. However yours is structured very cool and it speaks of a certain kind of truth and captures the spirit of a person. Thanks for the read.
