I've been trying to figure that out.
I'm wondering if life would not have been easier if he had simply asked that they go their separate ways. Then again, some of us never take the simple alternative.

Yes and made police reports galore... restraining orders ugly ... now I just don't speak to him or ever see him in person, just send email/fax about the children's activities. He's a real monster
