Wow Steelermen
You really hat democracy and freedom don't you. If someone says soemthing you don't like then you go and tell them to leave the country. Freedom of speech, but only if it agree with your views. Otherwise you are some horrible communist who needs to be deported.
You see democracy is not about the all mighty dollar ruling all as you seem to wish it to be.
I am not saying people should be paid the same or treated as equal if they are not doing the same work. Part of that is the reason why I beleive companies need to get their acts together and make sure they are doing their part in helping to build the economy. It is the bottom rung employees who are about the hardest workers in any company and should be treated better. The CEOs who make the big bucks do the least amout of work to keep the company going.

Another Country Maybe?!
I think that Kooka and Westwend may be happier living in another country; maybe one that embraces socialism.

Another Funny Thing...
is everyone is talking about the rich getting tax cuts. I received a tax refund check but I am far from rich. I do not own a company. My name is not Trump. My name is not Winfrey. However, I am still waiting for the tax cut for the middle class that Clinton promised back in 1993. Guess that one got lost in the mail.

DEMS
As always you show that you will listen to the republican propaganda and lies. Step out of your house from time ot time and ask some of the middle class people who are busy right now trying to figure out how the hell they are going to be able to afford four more years of Bush pushing prices on gas, health care and energy to all time highs, while the companies they work for get great tax cuts but are cutting back on all raises because the profits just aren't there. Most of the peel I know are middle and lower class and they ar all saying this is what is happening right now. i don't are what the government tells us. Bush is a liar and he has proven such. I look at reality and what the real patterns are.
Go here to see some truth about it all:
http://www.eurolegal.org/useur/bsheconrec.htm
Big Businesses need to be responsible for the economy because the economy itself is what makes businesses grow. When big Business works with making the economy work every benefits the most. I have yet to find any big Businesses that are responsible for their employees. All the care about is how much profit they can make in the short run and will screw over every single employee to get that profit.
What do you do for a living? I am figuring you are some executive making a good living and being able to be completely blind to reality. Or that you live off of some inherited wealth. It does not sound to me that you have ever had a low rung job in your life, but have been spoiled.
I was saying that big business needs to be responsible to its employees in order to get the tax cuts. I am not sure as to how this disagrees with your views. You are saying big business needs to be responsible and that tax cuts are good things. If we put the two together then are we not doing the right thing?
Big Business has killed the American dream and made it so you either work for big business and barely get paid enough to live off of, or you are really screwed. Starting your own business only works if you are wealthy to being with or like G.W. Bush and can get daddy to come and bail you out every single time you royally screw up, as he did.
Trickle down economics can only work if the companies whoa re being given tax cuts are held responsible for making sure that extra money is going where it needs to go, which it is not at the present.
Did you even read my post?
I am so afraid of those like you who are not out there seeing where our country is headed. People who learn all they know form what is told tot hem instead of going out and living in this world to see what the real problems are. Such people still has a say in what they think we need, yet do not have a clue as to what that really is. I can only assume that you must be a very spoiled man who is well off and is not about to lower himself ot the level of looking at the problems form the side of those who really have to work hard to get by in this country of our. The American dream is dying due ot the greed of the few who hold all the cards. Until we start to hold them responsible and make it so that they can only gain by helping others to gain will we ever get our country back on track.

While I'm somewhat torn about the tax breaks myself, Kooka, Dems and
Steeler have great points there. To eliminate the tax breaks would have an adverse effect on businesses and drive more out of business, perhaps, which wouldn't provide more jobs but eliminate even more. This is a subject that can have more than one result.

Unbelievable, yet typical
To make blanket statements like kooki has with no proof, proves how wrong liberal thinking (feeling) really is.
The Reagan years put this nation on a path of growth like it hadn't seen for decades, especially after the Jimma Carta era of double-digit inflation and out of sight gas prices and tax rates.
More money has been pouring into the government because of tax cuts and business growth than ever before. Over 2 million jobs have been created since 9/11 and the Clinton recession thanks to president Bush. See this link for proof of the real economy.
The Budget says.... This is the stuff liberals never read because they want to sit in their shit and whine all damn day.
Businesses are not responsible for anyone who has no interest in the company. What kooki wants is a socialist nation and not a capitalist one because she can't or at least finds it difficult to compete in the real world and make her own way. Therefore she relies on government handouts so she can sit on her ass all day long doing nothing but whine about others to make herself feel better while being consumed with hatred and resentment.
Blaming business for your problems won't solve anything. Business are responsible to their shareholders and employees and for whatever products they make. Period! Nobody forces anyone to work for any company. If they don't like it, get another job or go into business for yourself. Whining only makes your problems worse.
The fact is that Trickle down economic does work, and tax hikes for big government doesn't work and won't. Stop living in the past where government provided most jobs after the depression. We are way past that now and we're not looking back.
Liberals lose on the Class warfare field because they have no facts, just lies and they are being left behind while everyone else moves forward.
Kooki has no clue about how this country works. Her socialist ideology is backwards to the American way of life, and that's why she's so damn miserable. The door is open.

They are getting tax breaks like crazy right now and there are no raises, no bonuses and no jobs. Unemployment is on the rise still, the economy is going down. All those tax breaks are not fixing things. I never said tax them like crazy, just hold them accountable when you do give them the tax breaks. As I said, if you would have read my post you would know this, give them tax breaks when they prove that they are putting money back into America and American workers. Right now they are all just hoarding those tax breaks and not helping out America one bit.
Such tax breaks only work if the companies do what they are suppose to do with them, not when they just sit back and enjoy the higher profits as they ignore their employees' needs.

Hand Up
Hey, I know!! Let's give more, more, more tax breaks to the corporations 'till they're not taxed at all, abolish all of their responsibilities to consumers, the enviroment, their employees; lawsuits against wrongful action - History!!, Reward them with endless taxpayer funded contracts for shipping jobs to slave labor pools and open the borders for even more slave laborers replacing American workers and maybe then they'll be Happy
and the rest of us can fall into the only hole left...Oh wait, that's almost a finished deal....
Good, informative and timely post Kooka.

Yea,
that's the ole liberal try there Kooka. Tax the hell out of those greedy wealthy business owners who own the companies we work for and then wonder where our raises are or bonuses are or worse, where our job is. I think that this same ole liberal crap about this subject has really grown old.

So true Kooka, people are
ridiculously rich because they hoard things. I knew a guy who drove cars until they died and wore the soles out of all his shoes, but he had a bank account filled with millions of dollars. He'd start a company, grow it, sell it, than do it again. When he would sell a company, people sometimes lost their jobs. It didn't matter, it was like a game to him. Anyway, great post. I wish things were different too.
