I don't know how much you know about John Wesley but I intend to print some of the instruction to the church from our book, can't think of the name now, but it has all the laws and instruction for the Methodist Church. This one is about 200 years old. I beleive you will find it very different than you are saying. My families on both sides have been Methodist since John Wesley came to America.
Homosexuality and abortion do have something to do with the Bible. Read Judges carefully when all the people did what was right in thier own eyes. Love and sweetness is not all there is to God's work. The bible also says nothing can seperate you from the love of God, this is true. It does not say nothing can seperate the love of God from you. You can reject him and you have been seperated. God will still love you all the way to Hell.
