I really do not know that much about Giuliani. He just seems a better choice than Hillary and Chaney.

I do not do good with names and generally stay out of politics (It is just that Bush has upset me so much that I am now more involved than I ever wanted to be) so the rest of your names really do not mean anything to me.

My main hope is that we are given someone worth voting for by the two parties in four years. Or that the majority of Americans start to ignore parties all together and really just vote for candidates and maybe get an independent in office and see if that works out better.

Giuliani will NOT get the nod

New Yorkers will remind everyone of his divisive politics.  And his comments about the troops will come back to bite him in the ass.  His abortion stance will be a problem for Christian Fascists.  He's pro-immigration too.  And some have yet to forgive him -- even after sept 11 -- for supporting Cuomo in 1994!  Too much baggage.

I hate the bastard and hold him personally responsible for the death of Amadou Diallo, the West African immigrant shot 41 times in his own apt. vestibule.  But if he and Bush were my choices, I'd choose Rudy. That scares me no end.

I have no desire to see Hillary running  for the big office.  again, too much baggage.  I don't see much in the DNC but even less out of the Fuckhead Party. Ridge?  No.  McCain? Too old by then and a loose cannon.  I don't see anyone on either side.

For better candidates, keep getting money as much out of the process as possible.  It starts with FREE access to media.  Not anytime you want, but no costs. tg

Giuliani might be worth voting for.  We'll see.

So you are saying Clinton did good?  If he got our counry out of debt then he was doing something right.  I know my taxes have not gotten any better with Bush.  So it was not the middle class who got any tax breaks there.  I also know that in Colorado unemployment has doubled in the last four years, which means that tax breaks for the rich have not gone and created new jobs out here.

As for the abortion issue.  I do believe an unborn child is a living thing.  As for the woman's body I was using that partially as an example. I have often treid to explain that if we as a scociety start to educate people better and teach responibility, then we will solve such problems as abortion.  If a woman is acting repsonible with her body then she would have no need for abortons and there would be no issue.  It is her body and as long as she takes care of it and respects it she has every right to control it through and there a times when even in that situration it may be best for her to have an abortion.  For me you hit various blurry areas with Abortions that are hard to define.  An unborn child is a living thing, but does it get the same rights as those who are born?  Well if it is going to be born into an unloving family and abused and neglecgeted, then it is best to stop the child from being born in my opinion. Chdilren should not have to suffer. There are worse things than a quick death before you are at any level to be aware.  Without abortions right now we would see many more neglegted children who are not loved and are beaten and such because they are burdens.  Untill we find a better solution on that one abortion is a needed thing regretfully.

I do not see most issues as being so black and white.  I know the world is mostly gray and I accept that.  If politics could see the gray and see that it is in the gray where the answers lie, then we would start to see progress.  But right now one side goes with the black and the other the white and so we are left with the problems we have.

Giuliani in 2008, Cheney will be too old
Clinton had nothing to do with the economic prosperity of the nineties. It was Al Gore-he invented the Internet.

Surpluses are what happens when you raise taxes. Deficits happens when your spending exceeds your income. Time for congress to do what the rest of us do.

You mentioned on DAE's blog that you are against abortion, yet you didn't agree with telling a woman what to do with her body. Tell me, why are you against it?

Now you are really starting to scare me. I now am thinking of the possibilities for the next election and it may be between Hillary (Who I have no desire to see in power) and Chaney (Who scares me as much as Bush). If it ends up being between those two, then we are much better off without a President for a few decades. Maybe we can get some legislation passed that says the two parties have to start picking worth wild candidates who might actually make good presidents, instead of the piss poor choices we keep ending up with.

Bill Clinton did a much better job than Bush. Bush has gone and destroyed it all though. Thanks to Clinton our country was headed in the right direction and had a surplus. Bush spent all that and then some on his personal agendas and has really left things messed up big time. I was not a fan of Clinton's, but he did do some positive things for the country.

I am not too worried about the Democrats myself. They lost a lot of power in our state the one who stayed in power is one I have not had any problems with.

The Republicans are the ones who have the power and are abusing it. They are the ones who are out right trying to take all the rights they can way from the people.

My big beef with the Democrat is why they could not have found some one better than Kerry for the election. If they could have found a half way decent candidate, then Bush would not be getting a second term. I did not like Kerry, but I felt he was a better choice than Bush. Too many did not, yet they did not like bush and if they had a better candidate to vote for they would have.

There will be a revolution. The shots will not be the kind that rip and rend the flesh of those of us who join the battle.; The volleys will be well-reasoned words, tough-minded resistance to civil injustices, and legal challenges whenever and wherever anyone tries to take away one more of our rights and freedoms. We will have our civil war, but one without bloodshed. We will leave that to those who claim the supposed moral high ground. Our first fight must be with the spineless members of the Democratic party.

Kooka, excuse my language, but in a nutshell,
We're fucked. What scares me even more is the fact that 1/2 of America just doesn't get it.

revolution will happen if Lady Hilary Macbeth gets elected
Revolution? Don't expect people to be gracious in victory if you're ludicrous in defeat. We survived Billary-you'll survive Bush.

I agree, it's time to mend fences, move on.
Some of my best ideas came off of reading blogs from the Democrats.  I have no harsh words or hard feelings.  Sadly, some people cant's handle victory or success very well.  I've taken my beatings, but it's all part of the blog process.

And it does not help that there are those like DEMSareEVIL who instead of showing integrity and such, are acting childish and putting down liberals just becuase the Rebuplicans won the election.  I have no problem if he disagrees with my views, but when he calls all liberals looser and tells them to leave the country, all he is doing if causing the problems not fixing them.

a civil war is very possible. Despite the elation many people are feeling right now I fear the bitterness and hatred of the other half manifesting in revolution in, like you said, in our lifetime.

Well, if FoxNews has a part in it...
the revolution will NOT be televised!

I can't believe how biased their coverage was.

a few things are encouraging.  Obama in Illinois.  He seems like a legitimate shining light.  Feingold re-elected, one of the only sentators who voted against the Patriot Act (probably one of the few who actually read it beforehand).  Exposure of more voting problems.  Optruth giving the soldiers a voice.  Don't let them steal your spirit; then they won't have to steal an election.

Don't tempt me.

And that is another great fear. After all it seems like we are well past due for another civil war here. I just wish it did not look so likely in my life time.
