But as I think about it
"Disposable" fits in this sense: For many, I believe, we have outlived our purpose. But Talion, you are correct as well. For some, others are of no value.

"Disposable" implies something at one time had a value, a purpose, but when that value or purpose is depleted, only then is it tossed. Like a disposable lighter. Once it's out of fluid, it's useless. In instances such as this, "disposable" isn't quite an accurate adjective because those guilty of those crimes
never viewed their victims of having worth in the first place.
