Not at all--what's gross about polishing your Golden Quirky if it needs a little shining up now and then.

It's a sad day in Holleeworld when "getting lucky" ONLY means getting
a Golden Quirky. sigh. But thanks dear.

Hollee, ROFL,
Hon, I'm afraid you are LONG past the Newbierry stage, unfortunately. But look on the bright side, the Golden Quirky's will be back soon and you might get lucky!

Quirkyalone

Sorry about the page. I have to write and tell you how humbling this is. Truly you are the most for the most for all your help and the great comments I see often. You read everybody. It is so sweet. Now I have probably mussed up, bummed out and messed up the whole goodie.

Scroll down past "Australia" and left of "China" for the really good comments! Justsouno

canine,
my sweet puppy --like I said, those who write ARE writers, so maybe what you mean to say is "someday I will be a published writer." And THAT I will most certainly agree with.

Acceptance speach

It is with the utmost sincerity, and humbleness that I thank you all for this spectacular achievment, this Newbierry award.  There is no greater compliment than that which comes from ones peers.  I would like to say a special thank you to Quirkyalone for her amzing ability to spot good writing when she see's it, truly that is a gift from on high.  Furthermore, I thank my parents for giving me the fodder of my muse, truly, without them, I wouldn't be where I am today...in fact, I wouldn't be anywhere. Thank you

Please, don't stand up.  No, sit down everyone, your'e embarrassing me.

You are
my new best friend. The first to read me. The one who made me stay. You inspire me. Someday I WILL be a writer that's a promise! I am 40 so I guess I better get started huh?

ALF,
I forgot to mention that an acceptance speech is expected of those who "win"--

Quirky,  You are as insightful as you are lovely.  And what an eye for fine literature.

Thank you Word.Smith,
the Newbierries are a natural offshoot of their first cousin, the Golden Quirky's.
