The point is that they are just normal people, no different than you or I.
They just have different beliefs.
Your labor day thing sounds just like typical Christian propaganda to me. I have learned a little about Satanism, and I have yet to actually meet any Satanist who does any kind of sacrificing, animal or otherwise.

Do you really think they advertise?
Nice article but I wonder.... do you think pagans and witches advertise? Before I received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life, forsaking every other thing that I had done including witchcraft, etc---I can tell you from experience--you would indeed not know one if you looked at them. Hm, maybe I should start blogging my experiences
As for mass sacrifices--Satanists , I believe hold one of the biggest "events" held in the United States in the desert outside Las Vegas every Labor Day weekend. Keep blogging--great style!

Conventions are amazing things. There are your stereotypical geeks and nerds there in great number, but there are also every other types of person you ca imagine. The problem is so much get stereotyped that people get afraid to try such things as sci-fi conventions and so will never get to see it first hand.
I personally feel that it would be good for anyone to experience that environment for just one weekend and see if they can not take some of the feeling of a convention into the real world with them.

It would be
nice if people could bring the getting along out of the convetion or what ever it is and in to every day life.
