chris2303,
mark2556 told me the logic behind his lovely numbers, and assuming yours are not arbitrary, do you want to spill the beans about the 2303?

Beachbelle,
I'm confused by your comment--do you mean King Alf or someone else?

Come hither fair Quirky...

and do not shiver so...come hither, that the glow from my crown may annoint thy alabaster skin with shades of gold.  Take refuge in the warmth of my great hall, sit by my fire and feast 'till ye can feast no longer.  For 'tis true fair Quirky...were it not for the likes of you a king I would not be.  Nay, I would be naught but nameless rabble...had you not seen me.

All this King talk put me in sort of a mood i guess.

Quirkyalone,

I'm all for equal opportunity, but what makes No. 1 the Number 1?  Pithy quips, seductive innuendo and banter, accessibility, and an aura of  that certain you-know-it-when-you-see-it? Are the guys up for this? These ruby red slippers may be hard to fill.

ps, re: your comment on women and cats, I'm not entirely sure cats are that innocent of Princess-like behavior.  So, I stick by the analogy. As for the circles we run in, I"m not sure, maybe it's just life in this city.

We've had the Royal Spell-Checker flogged for his "n" abuse of "anointment".  It seems beatings are quite effective in the treatment of dyslexia.

We're surprised you haven't figured out the super-secret royal code.  The "2556" in our Mark2556® screen name refers to our royal date of birth, February 5, 1956.

As always, we appreciate the interest.

And I found myself laughing out loud because I was totally not expecting to see my name at the bottom of your post.  Thank you for your sweet comments.  Of course those that know me would agree with you completely, I am quite regal...and humble too!  I however, am a newcomer to this land of Blogitville...I don't know that I am worthy as of yet.  I need to find the "sword in the stone" and remove it where others before me have failed.  Perhaps then...for one can only lead justly, if there are those that will follow willingly.  Thanks again Quirky
