Sym, sounds like a wonderful sentiment.
I don't know if it's true. Framing it does sound like a great idea, but I would spray it with disinfectant too if I were you.

Another idea:
You could put it in a plexiglass holder and hang it in his window. Then the light will shine through it in the day, and it will give him something to gaze at as he falls asleep at night. I bet he'll keep it forever :)

oooh Symphony its GORGEOUS!! when i was younger i was told that if you find a feather, you make a wish and then place it in you palm and blow air on it to make it fly away....
Keep this feather, its gorgeous, i'd take it as a sign that your son is safe, since you were doing something relating to him when you came across it
