sassy, whim
I have my own Jedi costume I picked up years ago.  It is not offical, but it looks just like the Jedi robes. I believe it was called 'Knight's Advisor' but as soon as I saw it I thouhg 'Jedi'.  I paid around $300 for it ( I was living with my parents at the time and used my tax refund to buy it so I would have it for the up coming convention)  so it is a nice quality costume.  I wore it last year so that we matched and will most likely wear it agian this year since he has choosen Jeid again.  I have gotten a lot of use out of it.  I have other costumes, but none as nice as that one.

I have a million costumes
My kids have gone as everything from Jeannie to a dead cheerleader. When they ask for new idea's, I keep telling them to roll up in aluminum foil and go as a left over, but they don't want to hear it. Your son's costume sounds great. Its too bad, because I happen to have a pirate costume on hand. The Star Wars costume sounds much better though. You should dress up and go with him. Afraid that you will appear to tall to trick or treat? Go as Lurch, they will never know.
