.. that's a good rule of thumb! i wont go back to a place where i've had crappy service. or if i'm out for cocktails, i may just stick to the bar instead of a booth.. It's great that you are a good tipper! woo hoo!!

As a rule of thumb, I'm a good tipper. If the service is sufficient, I leave more than 15%, rounding up. If the service is stellar, it's 25% plus. Even if the service is lousy, I still try to leave at least 15%, calculated to the penny. My "revenge" is never going back to the restaurant/establishment again.
