I see we have some work to do.

IR,
well the flaw in your argument is this: EVERYONE who drives around here knows about the stinking corn maze wreaking havoc on the freeway traffic. But I'll grant you one thing: perhaps I AM the only one who realizes it's true significance. Now...what was that again?

posted by Julia. on October 18, 2004 at 7:01 PM | link to this | reply

Now wait, wait!
Think about this for a minute. A major phenomenon - and you are the only one who knows about it, who realizes its true significance. Why give it away for free, when you can be on the cover of Time, Newsweek, even interviewed on Good Morning America?

Imagine, your face on a glossy magazine beaming with pride as you point out the now-famous corn maze!

IR, LOL.
Somehow I think they either don't care, or already know!! But I'll issue a press release all the same!

Eh gads, Quirky!
Have you told the press about this?!

beachbelle,
yes!! Every year...after year...after year...same thing, traffic backs up for miles so people can look at corn.

posted by Julia. on October 18, 2004 at 4:19 PM | link to this | reply

well it sounds kind of fun once but are you saying that people look every
year? Trust you'll note I have written a long post again

Tyto,

Well now, that would be an interesting thing to have in your back yard!

Rachel,
Your kids would like the corn maze I think.

posted by Julia. on October 18, 2004 at 1:06 PM | link to this | reply

wiley,

I love them, too...but I don't need to stare at them from the freeway!!

posted by Julia. on October 18, 2004 at 1:05 PM | link to this | reply

kooka,

exactly!! What is there to look at from the outside??

P.S. I don't really *hate* Halloween, I just hate traffic caused by corn maze rubberneckers at Halloween!

Oooo!
Sounds like my back garden!

Grrrrrrr, bah, humbug, I hate Halloweeny too luv, but I love cornfields

I love corn mazes
They are great fun.

Not sure why anyone would have to slow down while driving though. They really are not much to look at from the outside. Maybe they are thinking about possibly going and for some reason that effects their driving. There are people who can not think and drive at the same time. You often see them sitting at stop light watching for several seconds the green light and then realizing that they should put their foot on the gas peddle and get their car moving.

How can you hate halloween. It's the best holiday of the year.

Wilds,
No, I don't look! I look away, lol. And yes, pulling over would be a good idea. Much better than rubbernecking.

Pumpkins are the best! Corn and pumpkins..well...I admit I'd have to be sneeking a peek too! ;)

LOL
You're looking! I'd be looking too!  Hell, I'd be pulling over and looking real close!

Wilds,
I will admit that going through the maze is kind of fun, but...WHY do people have to look at corn??

It sounds like fun!
I wish we had something like that up here.
