That's some good thoughts.....
and what might scare you to think is I told my wife we should send them to the Iraqis to see what they might do with them. A coward, and these soldiers are cowards, is no good for anything. Other soldiers from the same unit, using equipment assigned to the group, carried out the mission. There is no politics involved here. Either you perform your job as a soldier are you don't. If you don't a court martial should follow. These soldiers are no good to this country. They are willing take the paycheck and the schooling and all that they are allowed to get under our laws. They should pay the price when they don't hold up their end of the bargain. A smart person like you should agree with that!!

What I would expect is....

Shame on those soldiers! They expect to get an education without putting their lives on the line? They expect to not be put in harms way? They expect that their commander in chief to make sure they have all the best equipment before they take a chance on being killed? What are they thinking of? Do they think they are representing, as soldiers, the richest country on earth? Don't they know that profits have to be made and that sometimes we just can't afford the best equipment? I say court martial those cowards, throw them out of the military, take away everything they own and put them and their families out on the street. Maybe they and their families should be sent back to Iraq but not as soldiers, just as citizens so they can live in what our President hopes to be a free society. That'll teach 'em to try to get a free education on my tax dollars! What do they think, their name is Bush?

You've got that right.....

Loved your perspective on the soldiers.  I'm tired of people complaining that they have spouses, sons or daughters in the war.  What do these people expect?  You sign up for the various forces to serve the country...not just get free education, boarding and 3 squares a day.

Great job!
