stories and photos
Dee--The story about your gran struck a chord with me. I'm a Catholic/ Irish-American who experienced an after-death visit from my grandmother who I was extremely close to. Unable to attend her funeral, we had a nightime chat shortly after her internment which assured me that she was fine and would always be with me. That was 30 years ago and I know she is still my guiding light. Also, loved your photos. --Pat from Florida, US

Real or imagined, a lot of folks have had such experiences of a last
visit from a loved one who has just died--sometimes even before they were aware that person had died!

Golly gosh!

Nice story; I'm sure it wasn't just a dream.  Perhaps it's really everday life that's more of a dream.  I love those old Irish ghost stories.

This post really gave me the creeps . . .

The closest I’ve come to something like this happened when I was just a wee lad. One morning I felt as though I awoke before anyone else was up. When I looked over to my left, there was a glowing image of Big Bird (a popular character for children from the television show Sesame Street) on the wall. He seemed so perfect! He also seemed to be calling me, waving his wing in an inviting gesture, head tilted in such a way that suggested I had nothing to fear, that I should take up the tip of his wing and fly away with him somewhere. Frightened, I slid back under the covers, buried my head under my pillow, and somehow fell back asleep. When the time came to get up came, I was convinced that what I saw was real. Even to this very day I have my doubts–I mean, it seemed so real.

Hope to read more from you soon. Take care for now.
