I PREFER
straight coffee in a white coffee house mug.
so actually I'll have to change my descripton of Catholic Coffee.
Let's call it a multitude of tastes -- from bitter, dark roasted, to bland, light green -- served in an ornate cup.

I would say

Baptist is the closest one. It contains the central message. The others are insideous concoctions of Satan. But the gospel contains a depth of revealed truth and cannot be measured. It is like a tree that yeilds a different type of fruit all year long forever. But it MUST be revealed to you, it does not enter in by the gate of reason or logic, but by the Spirit:

also to enlightnen all men and make plain to them what is the mystery of the plan ( regarding those who are unsaved and their salvation of all men) that has been kept hidden in the mind of God, who created all things by Jesus Christ, through the ages until now ( the Church age). Gods purpose is that through the Church ( spiritually reborn beleivers) the complicated many sided and manifold wisdom of God in all of its innumerable aspects and infinite variety may be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities in the heavenly sphere.  Ephesians 3:9-10

okay Cantey -- which one is the right one?

out of the varieties I listed.

We'd have to add Orthodox, the various sects, Presbyterians, Methodists, etc./

which one is the purest gospel?

I understand Kooka and coffee.

each person's religion is different

let's try to equate religion to coffee brands and styles

Catholic is Columbian straight old-fashioned coffee.

Baptist is a sharp Arabica.

Episcopal is a coffee shop mocha

Mohameddenism is the black, well-boiled, thick Turkish type coffee.

Buddhism is a sort of light, mountain grown type.

I get the point.

People get a choice.

They can taste and if they like the flavor . . . they buy . . .

The gospel is very simple
there are not variations of it. There is only one. Satan is the one that distorts and confuses the message in the world because a house( the Church) divided against itself cannot stand

cantey -- what gospel?

whose gospel?

various Christians have various gospels.

someone else's is different than yours.

just ask another Christian whose gospel is different than yours.

I posses reason and logic

and I understand your views perfectly. But you do not understand mine.  Refer to my latest post in ' Weapons of S. Warfare' for a short explanation of why you dont understand, and it has nothing to do with a lack of intelligence or logic on your part.

Yes, I keep hoping you and others will see logic and reason and see things my way, But I know it will most likely never happen.

True
but one can always hope the other will see

We've danced this dance before. I will never see it your way and you will never see it mine. I have no need for your beliefs, just as you have no need for mine. Yet I am positive you are no happier than I am, yet you will never see it or understand it. You see, I don't like coffee. It tastes funny and just does nothing for, just like religion and belief in God.

Actually, Im dead on center

I have had personal encounters with Jesus Christ, and I enjoy a ongoing relationship with Him. There is nothing on earth to compare to it. I have no doubt you have a great life without Him, but trust me, there is a life and peace greater than you can ask or think.

Way, way, off on that one there my dear.
I have no need at all for the gospel to have both peace and life.

If religion is like coffee
than its use is to be merely a crutch and is not really essential for peace and life. The Gospel, by contrast, is like pure water: esential for peace and life.

Coffee, like religion, can be sweet and bitter at the same time.

Tuck
Religion is something one can buy anywhere, including a coffee shop.
And there are many people selling religion right now.

the analogy holds good...

if religion is something one can buy in a coffeeshop.

Kooka
Just as the connoisseur’s perception is enhanced through the experience of varied tastes, so our realization of truth is honed via the sampling of multiple perspectives. - I'm happy to see your post, my friend.
