Early outs
are what our local school district came up with last year. They started letting kids out at 1 p.m. one day a week with less than 2 weeks notice to the parents. Everyone was scrambling for day-care and after-school arrangements. It gives the teachers more planning time, was the reason. They also want to eliminate recesses. Wonder how many of them enjoy sitting at a desk all day with only 10 or 15 minutes after lunch to breathe fresh air and get some exercise. I'm glad my children are grown so I don't have to fight these battles.

How odd - here they're thinking of extending school days because
so many days are missed in the winter.
Thankfully - my daughter drives - so I'm not picking her up or dropping her off anymore.

I didn't realize that Pa. had that kind of money
to blow on stuff like that. The county that I live in is seriously depressed. I also have kids in school and the juggling schedule is no fun.
