Adoption vs. Abortion vs. Adoption

Let me add one thing here:

With adoption, you can, these days, look forward to seeing your child again someday, if both you and you child want to see and be seen.

With abortion, there's no chance of that.

As for people feeling the need to abort due to their child being handicapped or a burden when it comes to raising the kids they already have, I'm with you that there would be fewer cases of this kind of abortion if certain people claiming to be pro-life would prove it by doing all in their power to make sure that these precious lives, once born, wouldn't slip through the cracks of society!

Peace!

writer, good comment
the womb is the part of the body where the baby grows, please notice that God created the body, therefore He created the womb. God knew us when we were yet a FETUS in our mothers womb. Therefore, in God's eyes, the fetus is a viable living creation, therefore to abort it would be murder, therefore that would be sin.

The Bible doesn't actually class the foetus as human.  In fact, abortion isn't mentioned in the Bible at all.  I can provide biblical references that prove this if anyone is interested.

interesting but wrong
where your points children in poor families is taken it does nooooooot take away the fact the we are fearfully and wonderfully made inside the womb. Abortionists are clearly saying the fetus is not human, they want non humans dead by thier own pro choice. The featus is human by God's standards and is given life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that no one has the right to take away. Further you are ignoring the real damange caused abortion to the mother. Wake up and fight abortion.

People tend to see abortion as a way to free themselves
....from a mistake that they made. If people would start realizing that it is a child and not a growth or an inconvience....then Christians can stop working so hard to save innocent children's lives.

sorry to comment
again, but I guess I'm still in shock. Abortion doesn't 'cheapen life' it takes life.

my jaw hit the floor
when I saw the title of this blog. I thought you must be kidding. As I read on my heart ached.
You stated that the mother suffers more from giving her child up for adoption than from an abortion. Have you been a mother? Have you had an abortion or given a child up for adoption? I have to all 3 of those guestions. Abortion is murder, murder is sin. It's straight from Baal practices. We as humans have NO RIGHT to play God in this area.

I don't believe in abortion being used as a form of birth control, which happens far too often, but there are times when it is advisable, especially if a child is known to be seriously handicapped and the mother can go on to have a normal child who would never have been conceievd otherwise, or if socially another child would put the children already living at risk.  It's clearly better to avoid it, but sometimes the opposite is true.
