That brings another whole post of researching the philosophy of America. After all, we are americans, we are in america to escape being constantly monitored.
I can only compare it to a quote I once heard from a minister answering a question posed of why God allows bad things to happen. The minister said:
"We are given the freedom to do and to be, and within that freedom we become vulnerable".
