I always thought
that if I lost enough weight I would want to get my boobs done. Not bigger, just lifted. All the weight gaining and losing I've done over the years has made them less "perky" and I'm too young to be droopy!
Maybe if I can lose the weight I will reward myself, who knows. But I'm in too much debt already! lol

I too am very happy for Rachelanna she has been batterling for so long and she had finally done it..I am so proud of her.
I look back at photos and I cant not believe how slim I was ...but I always thought I was really fat!.....
after having my babies I have never gone back to the size I was.......which is a pain in th ass.......lol

Symphony - Isn't it wacky!? - I remember thinking my thighs and hips were too big when I was a teenager - now I look back and think - you dumby!!! you were a size 7 and you complained!?!?! Aaahhh - hindsight and all that .... Yes, I started gaining weight a few years after I started the pill too - and now I am on Paxil and that also adds weight ... plus having a baby... though some people can still be slim after kids -
I agree it IS hard to exercise --- well, to make the time too anyway... there is so much to do with the little time we have after work that exercise if not done right away ends up lost in the mix! Plus - I absolutely LOVE chocolate and crave it ... it is hard to not indulge!

Well, I'm not that size now, I've had 5 kids since then! I'm still very slim, though. I was 6 1/2 stone before I had my first (that's 93 lbs to you Americans) and I went right back to it after he was born, then with each subsequent child I added half a stone or so - I've settled at around 8 stone now. Anymore than that and I feel fat! I'm out of proportion, though. Because of having kids I've gone from having a totally flat stomach (and I mean totally flat) to one that can make me look pregnant in the wrong light (my own fault, I was vain enough to think I didn't need to exercise after pregnancy and childbirth) so I'm size 12-14 down the bottom (depending on where I get my clothes from) to something around size 10 on top. Makes for a strange shape!

lol...........I can so relate to you...........in all of my school years I was very slim...but at the time I thought I was fat......then when I became a teenager and went on the pill I put on weight and since then I have pretty much battled with my weight and have became very depressed........I have had two children and I cant seem to budge the flabby parts....I know I need to excercise more than diet...but its so damn hard

It comes from the world dang it!
It is a common belief that slimmer woman are prettier and sexier and more desirable... therefore, the more you weigh the less you are desired ... most magazines promote it, TV promotes, and many many men promote it. I am praying that my daughter does not have self-esteem problems like I always have.
For example, five years ago I was about 50 to 60 pounds lighter and I was unhappy with my body because I had "mosquito bite" boobs!!!! My teenage years were spent wishing that they would grow bigger. When I was in Home-Ec class and we had to take our measurements.. the teacher felt sorry for me and recorded a bit larger size so I would feel less embarrassed around the other girls.
I started gaining weight when I hit 27 yrs of age and went from a 30A to a 32A... then I became pregnant and grew to be a 34B, then a 36B.... I am bigger all around and so have bigger boobs. But, now I feel embarrassed because I wear a size 14 instead of the size 12 I wore before I got pregnant (back in 2001 -2002) and the size 7 I wore when I was pregnant. ARGH!
It feels like we can never win. I envy RachelAnna ~

It was hard at times, actually. They were way out of proportion to the rest of me. I'm only 5'1/2" and was never more than a size 8 at most - that's a UK size 8, of course. In fact, believe it or not at age 16 I actually bought a scotch kilt from M&S in AGE FIVE and it fit! This was when minis first came into fashion, so of course it was very mini on me! The worst part about it though was the effect they had on members of the opposite sex, for some reason boys used to think I would be 'more than willing' just because of the size of my boobs. I had comments such as "man made" thrown at me all the time and that really did hurt, because it simply wasn't true. I used to try to hide them and walked around sort of leaning forward in the hope nobody would notice. I was never comfortable with them, I have to admit. Now, they're too much the other way, it would be nice if I could have something in between the two!

thank you very much for sharing and for being very honest....as a teenager it must have been very hard as it is hard enough going through puberty. I know what you mean about being pregnant or breastfeeding....I had wonderful firm breasts throughout......but after they flopped away...although they are big...but they have lost there firmness...and sag so much more than usual..........
such a shame what happened to your friend......I have heard some stories.....but I suppose like with everything it is all a risk
if you think a face life would make you feel happier about yourself or more confident...then there is no reason not to do it.....take care

I'm happy with my boobies, but even if I had aspirin on a draining board (hilarious), I would never get new ones. I have been told by others who have had it done that they lose sensation in the nipple. Hell no! What's the point in that? Defeats the whole purpose for me. Give me aspirins on a draining board with nerve endings any day over feelingless nubbins.

I had a very large top half as a teenager, it was quite embarrassing actually, people even commented to my PARENTS about it. I could put a pencil or a flower in my cleavage and it would sit there quite happily for hours. Then when I came out of my teens they sort of shrunk and even a whole bouquet of flowers would fall straight to the ground. I think the only reason I had five babies was because during pregnancy (and even better, breastfeeding), I had boobs the size I really wanted. My mother had the same problem and hers got bigger during the menopause, which seems to be happening to me as well, although I'd still have room to spare in a B cup if I'm honest. I'd never have a boob job, though. A friend of mine had one and in one of them the stuff they put in went all hard and she was in agony. However, I would love a face-lift and it's the first thing I'd have if I won the lottery. The menopause and smoking combined are NOT good for the face.

I know what you mean about wanting them but not actually going for it....I don't want implants maybe just an up lifter...but then I suppose there are good bras that do that kind of thing
you are very lucky, you must feel heaps better for having a man who loves you for you...and not at all interested in impalnts and so on............
I knew you would understand about the need to feel good.....like I said I would not have it done personally as I am a baby...but I do admire those who do it.

Because if she's small then small boobs would look best. In my opinion. I used to think that my boobs were too small for my body until I realized that I really am smaller than 95% of the population, and much smaller than those I compared myself to. It's true, if you put me next to a woman who is five inches taller than me and 30 pounds more, I have small breasts. But, they fit my body.
I considered breast enhancement of some kind for awhile, for self esteem reasons, but since I met my husband the option is out. He says he wouldn't even look at them or touch them if they weren't real. I believe him, he is repulsed by fake breasts. I personally don't have an issue, but have since decided I wouldn't do it anyway.
And, with my immune system and disease and all, I don't know many surgeons who would do the surgery on me anyway. I guess it's a good thing I got comfortable with my body, huh?!

i worry about the reasons women have for wanting surgeries like this...in some cases, women have had breast reductions due to serious medical problems large breasts have caused -- if women are having procedures to fit into some media-constructed image of womanhood then that's not a good thing, even if there are no serious health risks (there usually are). There's usally a self-esteem issue that's attached to things like liposuction (which I am pretty sure Oprah has done, among other celebs -- i single her out only because she's also so big on getting women into loving their bodies and dieting for health not necessarily for beauty). Medical science will tell you we can surgically or chemically help ourselves and i'm in favor of stuff that helps people heal, but it's always about why you want to do it. I've begged the Graceful One not to have the laser eye surgery! i don't think it's necessary to cut your body as a matter of convenience. But i'm not a fan of tattoos, though when i see them i'm impressed! (g has one!) tg

Symphony, I have several thoughts......
One of my very closest female friends told me that she had worried that a boob job would make me more flauntatious, but ironically, it made me more secure and less so, so it had an effect on my psyche.
Secondly, I did a lot of homework, and if your friend started out as a washboard, B was most reasonable, because your expectations have to be realistic.
Thirdly, as Dougie said last night, "I don't think there is a man alive that does not like big boobs, and any man that says he does not is a liar!!!!!!!"

I have spent three-quarters of my life wishing for bigger breasts
and honestly was going to have a breast enhancement - but then I had the surgery on my neck last April - and I was in so much pain, and have lost feeling from the incision to my chin - after all these months that area is still numb - and the scar is so ugly despite the fact that I use Mederma on it every day. Being as fair as I am, I scar easily and it is very noticeable. I had three children, two with no medication for pain, and this was so much worse. and losing the sensation there - well, my doctor told me that women with small breasts have the same number of nerve endings as those with larger ones, and often are more aroused when their breasts are fondled - which I am, quit reading here Inherent - so I decided I didn't want to give that up.

mmy operation on my spine and the twa atmy feet were partl aestethis, partly for physical reasons,but ji needed to cause of the physical reasons
my breasts are small, i have an A75 and i have thought a lo about that, but i figured that big breasts would get me out of balan ce, just kidding, but well i find it okay, but maybe i would try a push-up bra
