But God is above his own laws and can do as he wishes, not man though.

Deuteronomy 22:20 But if this thing be true, that the tokens of virginity were not found in the young lady; 22:21 then they shall bring out the young lady to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done folly in Israel, to play the prostitute in her father’s house: so you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.

Wait a moment, are you saying God is not powerful enough to be able to keep man from altering his word? This verse here is in ever version of the Bible I know of. But you are now saying we can not take the Bible to be the word of God because man has altered it? So we can trust nothing the Bible says now. Anything in may have been altered by man because God is not strong enough to be able to keep his word from being affected by man? Wow, do other Christians know this? How can you believe in anything then if you are saying that there are many versions of the Bible out there which have been changed from God's words?

This alone helps to prove my point. The version of God you worship is not the version worshiped by so many others. It fits best with what you desire in a God. So you are positive that it must be the correct version of God. You have gone and found the God you wish to worship and have decided that you must be worshiping the correct one.

And sure let us take away the technical aspect of finding new things. Today I went to a corn mazes with my son. Outs die of new people, who we get to meet new people most every day that we are able to get out into the world, there were many new things for us there. The maze itself was a new design for the maze this year and I had only done one other corn maze in my life, so there was a level of exploring a new area in a pattern that had not been there before now. Then we saw some version of pot bellied pig we had never seen before, so that was new. We then went to my parent's house and a friends of ours cooked elk burgers in a way we had never had them before and made a apricot sauce that we had never tried before. I also saw the sky fill up with clouds and look a new way, a with every thunder storm I have ever seen. It was a day filled with many, many new things under the sun that were not really technical. We can also look to when that must have been written. At that point man kind really knew next to nothing about the world. WE then learned the world was round and had a lot of new land that had yet to be explored. Of course there were the oceans, which we still have yet to fully explore. Then we go to the moon and found many new things there. Now we have moved on to learning about all the new things in our solar system and even beyond. We have no clue to how many things there are in this universe still for us to discover that will be completely new when we find them. I would think it would have made more sense to say 'there is no end of new things to be found under the sun'. Maybe those Kenites (Who had a very good reason to dislike God as it was, I have already written some post on just how messed up the Cain and Abel story really is) got in there are rewrote that in order ot help keep man kind form seeing the need to grow.

So you honestly believe beyond a doubt that the faith you follow now is the exact same faith started thousands of years ago? The the idea of God you are worshiping is the same idea of God they worship way back when? That my friends is about as naive as a person can get. The 'truth' you believe in is the 'truth' you and others have created to fits you desires in a belief. Honestly I wish you would find a better name for it, because what you believe can not really be called the truth until you have absolute proof beyond the Bible and your beliefs. I think Christians came up with the idea of calling heir beliefs 'the truth' because of their ego. The kind of 'truth' you are talking about is not a 'true truth' and it is 100% subjective. You need to except that what you follow as 'truth' is just what you wish to follow. As a thousand Christians what God is and they will all have a different answer and each answer will be what they consider to be 'the truth'.

A secular point of view
No, I haven't stoned anyone yet...In fact, Yeshua Himself forgave the harlot with several ex-husbands and a boyfriend. But, can you tell me where GOD told me to stone anyone? In studying the Law and the Prophets, I find no commandment from Our Father to do so. The Kenites (sons of Cain) who infiltrated the temple as priests and scribes long before and during the time of Yeshua Messiah may have made up some law about stoning non-virgin brides. The traditions of man have crept into and destroyed every major denomination (I have a fairly good working knowledge of most).  THAT is the change, and it is satan and his followers who revel in it.  It is these changes that PEOPLE make that take those who flutter after a "new approach to God" away from His Truth which is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. In closing, taking away the technological aspect of life...what is new?  Tell me.   Anyway, it is not my job to change hearts and minds...only to speak the truth.  I wish you peace on your journey, and I look forward to your next blog.  I will probibly comment.

We cannot reinvent The Truth…we can only accept it.

But maybe you are right, maybe we should take the reinventions of others (lies), prove to them the error and then point at The Truth…which has not changed since the beginning of time.

You have it wrong.  Even the idea of God you have is not the orginal idea of the Biblical God.  God has changed many, many times over the centuries to form the version of the Christian God you have decided to go and worship.  Now of course part of your beleif is that your version of God is the true one.  But it is not.  There is no true version of God becasue all God is is what Man makes of him.

People have changed and changed greatly.  That is one reason why God needs to be reinvented all the time.  And right now with the amount of change that is happening in our world, God gets reinvented very often.

You talk about following the Bible, so I have to ask, have you stoned to death any women who were not virgins at the time of their weddings as of late? Knowing the present attitudes towards sex there should be more than enough around to keep anyone who follows the laws of God very busy. Of course today is the Sabbath according to many, so you should not be replying to this at all today.  In fact all you should be doing is resting.  I hope you did not leave your house or do any cleaning or chores around the house.  God does not like it when people do not follow his Sabbath.

Yet all those ideas at one time became outdated so man reinvented the idea of God and found ways to ignore those rules and justify it.

And there are always new things under the sun.  It is what makes life worth living. If we are to believe that there is nothing new, then why go on?  I know of no one who can not learn or find something new every day of their lives if they try.  You could try to claim that everything is already there, even though we do create new things all the time, there are always going to be new things for us to discover and explore.  The universe nevers runs out of something new to give us.

I also was saying it is a good thing for religion to grow and be reinvented.  Mankind has too often limited itself by not allowing for growth in one's beleifs.  Just look at the Middle East.  Most of those problems would fade if people would just grow beyond their faith.

7th trump meaning the 2nd coming
I already know that.
but 7th, you are not "preaching to the choir" -- but Kooka does like to hear from attempts at conversion every so often -- it keeps him on track.

Let me insert something here -- "God the Father" - Yeshua (I avoid using "Jesus" as much as I can -- it's a Greco-Roman name, not a Jewish -- Yeshua probably was the name given to this man) -- spoke to the times -- he used imagery that the people there could understand -- their god had somehow developed into a male figure at some time (the anthropological dominant male -- ergo king) -- Yeshua preached an extension of this figure -- Father -- to make the point that we are all children of God, thus gods, contrary to belief contemporary to his day and ours.

Back to Kooka and his "inventing god" -that is true. Problem, an invented god is an image.

The idea of the precept (1st Commandment) is that YHVH (to exist) cannot be conceived by any image -- and a male anthropomorphic parent figure is certainly an image --

I conceive of GOD AS THE UNIVERSE AS AN ORGANISM; however, all that I can conceive of still falls far short of the reality.

My feeling -- we should cease trying to conceive of god in any way. We just let god be what god will be -- go on with our own lives and leave god alone.

God will take care of whatever god wants to take care of.

Sad but True
Our Father told us from the beginning that He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Whenever some "new religion" pops up, people flock to it for exactly the reasons you describe. Humans always think they have a better idea...a better way than GOD. They forget that He alone made all that is. He alone is the creator of our Spirit and Soul. He alone set the universe and the rules there-in in motion. He alone is responsible for life. We need to find out what GOD wants us to do, and stop following new teachings that only take us further from Him. We are the same people we have been since the creation. Full of hate and deceit, following after the lusts of this world (money, sex...power). Only technology has changed...People have not. There is nothing new under the Sun. He loves each of us with a love that far surpasses anything we can imagine. His plan for our redemption is complete and without blemish. It is mankind who re-invents GOD in our meager minds. It is we who distort His truth into something that can barely be recognizable as true "Spirituality". His Word is complete. It cannot be discerned by reading a verse here and a verse there, and fitting it to an idea we may dream up. Just the same way that one cannot buy a novel, read one sentence from page 12, one from page 99, one from page 176 and one from the last page and then tell another what that book is about. GOD's Word is meant to be studied by one with a repentant, contrite and eager heart. It is then (and ONLY then) that He will reveal the Truth of Himself to the student and change that life.

Why Not?
Reinvent any part of God you want.

Can I change God's name?
I don't like having an O.D. in the name of the person who's supposed to be Almighty.
