More Weapons of Mass Distraction
The entire CBS Bush National Guard Service mess is just another attempt by Bush's puppet masters, Messers. Rove, Wolfowitz, Cheney and other assorted submorons to distract the American public from Bush's lousy military service, rotten domestic and foreign policies and the fact that the man is completely out of touch with anything resembling reality. The news media has become a political basketball ring where shots are swapped, little "soundbites" are swooshed through our subconcious, but no real news is ever imparted before the ball is passed to the next subject in a blur. Mass distraction has become an artform, and the sad thing is, the American people are buying into all this ridiculous hype mongering. Who cares what Bush or Kerry did 30 years ago? What's important is what they're doing now, and what they're planning to do in the future. We already the know the dark road Bush is planning to drag America down. I'm not huge fan of Kerry. I would have preferred a more liberal candidate like Howard Dean, but given the lesser of two evils choice (appropriate for a month that ends in Halloween), I'd much rather have Kerry in the White House than another four years of Bushocracy! As for the so-called "liberal media," anyone who thinks the media is slanted left didn't watch CNN's "rah-rah" coverage of the Iraq War's first stages. They were practically licking Bush's boots! Edward R. Murrow, where are you when we need you?
