I tried to splain i thought.
there are so many schools of thought concerning who gets into heaven and who doesn't.
I tried to explain what I knew of certain Christian denominations' ideas -- It seems (I might be wrong) Unicorn didn't get it
I wish other schools of thought would join in here. Why just a two or three way conversation when there are so many views on who gets into Heaven and who goes to Hell.
Then of course when this happens, we have to ask the question, "Who is right?"

. . .right?

okay the unicorn
You are saying that a mass murderer who is about to die could accept Jesus in his heart and get to Heaven that and so not be punished for anything he did wrong in life. While someone who has done nothing but good with their life and does not accept Jesus in their heart will be punished in Hell for just not accepting Jesus and so the deeds of their life are meaningless at that point, as were the misdeeds of the mass murderer. In the end for both all that mattered was if they had a belief in God or not.

Seems a little unfair to me.

it is not the reality of the situation that we're talking about
it is the perception of the reality.
Kooka questions Christian perception.

I never said
that all you have to do is believe in God. satan believes in God for cryin out loud. I said to accept Christ into your heart as your personal savior. Big difference. C'mon "Reverend" you should know that. And even at that, only God sees your heart, whether you are a mass murder who has accepted Christ 2 minutes before your death or Mother Teresa.

you  know that's not the end of it.

you gotta light a candle.

give a little money

this all just gets the departed a little way along the path to the Beatific Vision.

all that trouble for an eternity of sitting around strumming harps and singing holy, holy, holy.

I wonder if it's worth the trouble.
