auntyholly, that is sooo cool!
How lucky for you! I believe the spirits of our pets remain with us during the remainder of our physical lives.  I've even witnessed imprints (or indents) of a deceased pet's favorite spot on their human's bed appear before my own eyes while on a paranormal home-visit appointment. It's too cool; especially when you can even see the imprint move.

I agree, Evangaline, even though I don't believe animals reincarnate,
only humans do, it doesn't matter cause there's no concept of time on the other side. I know they are all there to greet us.

Interesting post.
I remember walking through a redwood forest out from San Fran. on holidays, trying to de-stress when not even the forest was working for me. As I looked ahead a cat I owned in childhood which had died many years before crossed my path a couple of times ahead and disappeared. Strangely it made me somehow relieved.

Wherever we go after death, they will be waiting...
They must.  They have personalities, emotions just like we do.  So whatever happens, even if it is reincarnation, we will meet up with them again somehow, somewhere.

Kay-Ren...believe it or not, but I'm not a vegatarian either!

I get exactly what you're saying!

I think all things have a spirit... maybe we adjust our Karma by being a carot for a short life. I am not a vegitarian. If a soul comes back as a fryer chicken, then they wanted to be eaten. It would be wrong of me to deny them their choice.

Kelli- what absolute insightful words. I, of course believe animals have
spirits; I can and often do "communicate" with them at work and of course at home with my own. I believe they are waiting for us on the other side, too. Man, what perfect, innocent, loving souls they are.

Oh, Kay-Ren! How awesome to hear this.
I mean, I'm sorry the Casperado died, but it's great that you felt him afterword. Not unusual, but some people just don't tune into it. You will definitely see him again. Our deceased human loved ones usually have to muddle through (and probably trip over) our deceased pets when it's our time to cross over.

When animals die, they think
"Yay!  Thank GOD that's over!".  I know that they go to heaven, I know that animals have spirits.  You can see their spirit in their eyes, you can almost see their thoughts if you bother to look close enough.

When I had to let Casper go, he had kidney failure amoung other problems, I felt him leave and he was at home before I got there. He hung around for a few months. We'd feel him, we'd catch glimpses of him. The other cats would become startled for no reason. When he felt we were okay, he moved on. I'll always remember my Casperado, Casper the friendly cat, my big pretty boy, and who knows, I may meet up with him again some time.

Great post.
