My landlady does own the
house but doesn't live there. However I do share the bathroom with one of my roommates who is also the landlady's son.

Hi Jeff. I'm glad I don't have a landlord like that. I did have once, but he kicked me out. Now I'm living in a house run by the Government

The landlady makes you clean your bathroom. Are you renting part of her home or something? Otherwise, I don't understand.
