It's what to do with the anger that's the question
Exactly. I looked up anger in the index of the little New Testament plus Proverbs and Psalms and found a verse from Psalm 4 because I was having problems knowing what to do with my anger when it came up.
Psalm 4: 4: "In your anger, do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent."
I found that very helpful, because the anger was there, for me to deal with, whether I liked it or not. It sounds like we're supposed to have a cooling-off period, and self-examination. Because it is too easy for me to mouth off when I'm angry and say cruel and hurtful things, which I later regret but can't change. So I watch my words.
